We normally recommend teaching all 16 sessions of the curriculum. But this is not always possible. Rather than attempting to combine the content of certain sessions, we suggest that you teach some sessions and omit others. Encourage participants to do omitted chapters on their own or in a follow-up small group.
You, the teacher, should ultimately choose the specific topics you believe to be most important to your class, given the number of weeks or class periods you have.
